Client Testimony

I used to be a drug addict. I was addicted to heroin but would do just about any drug in front of me. This went on for more than 5 years. This past Feb. I quit cold turkey. I then started attending the Frontline classes. This was good for me because I found that there were people going through the same things I was. The counselors helped me realize what mistakes I had made and why I made the choices I did. They also helped me realize that we all deserve a second chance and that we can start over. I met a lot of cool people through our meetings. One of the coolest things is that the counselors treat you like people they want to learn from us as much as we want to learn from them. I know that sounds cheesy, but I think it's true. I am 23 now and it has been about 6 months clean and this is from every drug. Well I urge anyone who is thinking of starting over and quitting to attend this meeting, it changed my life.

Learn a lot about myself. You could have never convinced me in a million years that substance abuse and addiction is a spiritual thing. The whole thing kind of freaks me out.

I listen–It makes me feel better about myself, more positive. I’m at least trying to doing something.

Although I’ve heard it all before there is a counselor who manages to intrigue me. I can’t explain it but it does all seem to be relevant.

Dude - I know I need it.

It just feels good to know that someone actually gives a crap. It helps me to understand my family a little better.

Initially, I came to get my parents off my back. Guess I can see how it all ties together. I can see me for me a little more clearly now.
